This morning we left Fort Lauderdale and headed OUT! Yes, out into the Atlantic. The sea was terrible with waves about 12 inches high (yes, I am being sarcastic). It really was amazingly flat. I've seen worse waves on Lake Nipissing, in fact, every time I've gone out on Nipissing it's been worse than the Atlantic was today.

Charlena swimming, Boca Raton
We made fabulous time and by noon we had arrived at Boca Raton. We are currently anchored in about 6' of clear water in Boca Raton Lake. The water was so inviting that all of us went for a swim. Yes, that's right all of us, even Charlena went in.
This was a great time to get the boat sides and bottom cleaned, yet we found surprisingly that it was quite clean. We were expecting barnacles everywhere, but as it turns out, there was none. We had a bit of algae on the lower hull but that just wiped off.
It looks like some boats ran a little deep
During the afternoon the lake was quite busy with boats anchored everywhere in the shallow water. We had a large cruiser anchor near us with about 30+ twenty-somethings on board having a party. They were rather noisy but we figured they'd be gone by evening so that was okay. Well around 3pm they all got back on board, had their engines going and pulled anchor. With us about 100 metres behind them they went to near full throttle... in REVERSE!!! Luckily I was watching them at the time and quickly leaned on the horn. They came to a quick stop about 10 metres from us, at which point the captain came rushing out back to see, followed shortly by his wife. They then proceeded (at a slower speed) in forward and moved away.
After that things have now quieted down and most of the people have left to go home.
