Yesterday on our trip from Titusville to Eau Galle we had strong 15 to 25 knot winds. By 8:30 we had passed through the only bridge that we needed to have opened for us, so we opened the Genoa up. We were doing so well we throttled back the engines and went into neutral. Instead of slowing we continued picking up speed. After an hour we shut the engines off, and for the first time were travelling strictly by wind power. And travel we did, at 5.5 to 7.5 knots. We got in and hour and a half earlier than expected, with out using any fuel at all.
We spent our second night anchored out, this time near the Eau Galle Public Library.
This morning we went to pull anchor and found we had snagged something. Never did figure out what it was but we got free and motored down to Melbourne Harbour.
Most of the day was spent cleaning and tidying the boat. This evening we made another grocery run, thanks to Uber.
Now we wait till tomorrow for Rebecca, Ben & Michelle to arrive. They are flying in from Toronto and will be spending a week with us while we sail down to Fort Lauderdale.
