Charlena and David met in 1985 at West End Alternative High School in Toronto where they fell in love, and have been together for "a few years".  They are married, have four kids of their own (Jennifer, Benjamin, Kyle, & Rebecca), and one adopted (Ronald).

In 2001 they moved from Toronto about 400 kms north to Warren, Ontario.  They home-schooled their children and helped Jennifer start a successful business, M.U.S.H.E.R.S. Dog-Sled Tours.

In 2015 with most of the kids having left home, David & Charlena decided to leave too.  They sold their house and everything they owned and purchased Sail Quest, a 38' South African built catamaran. Now they, Kyle, Ronald, and Cedar (Charlena's standard poodle service dog) live in their new floating home.

To paraphrase Captain Kirk:

"Caribbean: the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the catamaran Sail Quest. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new islands; to seek out a new life for us and explore old civilizations; to boldly go where we have never gone before."
